Crashin' Vail Pass Pipeline Trail Outside Redcliff - March 4 '05

I laid there until Scott came back. Doing the EMT "rapid assessment" on myself. I was ok. I did a full front flip off the snowmobile and landed in the snow. It's hard to tell from this perspective but I flew at least 10-15 feet.

The damage. The whole right side front suspension/steering/stabilizer was wrecked. Parts included trailing arm, shock, 2 front radius rods, sway bar (which I cut out) and the ski.

Notice Scott's track just to the left -- I was just a couple of feet off his tracks and hit this submariner rock square on. That sucked. I had to ride the sled back 13 miles to the trail head with no right side. That sucked, too.

Fixed. It took me two days, and I've just got a "loaner" shock (real one is on order) but she's back together and ready to ride. The sway bar was a bitch to get out.
